This weekend my wife and I attended the Arizona Families for Home Education yearly convention. We had a great time and really enjoyed hearing good speekers like Kevin Swanson of Christian Home Educators of Colorado, David Quine of Cornerstone Curriculum, and Mike Smith of HSLDA.
The sessions that really spoke to me were presented by Kevin Swanson. One of the ideas that Kevin gave was studying the book of Proverbs with your kids. The forumla goes like this:
- Read only three proverbs at a time
- Explain what those proverbs mean
- Give examples of how the kids an apply those proverbs
My wife and I will be adding this to our family worship starting next week.
